The company that is Union Standard today began in 1975 when W. R. Berkley purchased the Unigard Security Insurance Company. Our roots, planted firmly in Southern soil, actually run far deeper – all the way back to the founding of the Northwestern Mutual Fire Association in 1901.
Today, our home office in Irving, Texas, and nine geographically distributed offices serve an unequalled network of the finest independent commercial lines insurance agencies and their customers.
