On-Going Programs

United Way

Broad community support has made the United Way America’s largest privately funded charitable organization. Working at local levels, the United Way builds on more than a century of service to pull together financial and human resources to address local needs, from improving access to health care to promoting self-sufficiency and strengthening families.

Union Standard takes an active role in the United Way in each of the communities where we have operations, and we encourage our employees to help build stronger communities through donations of time, money and service.

March of Dimes

A generation ago, the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis defeated poliomyelitis (also known as infantile paralysis, or polio) through an appeal for the broad, participation of everyone – young and old, rich and poor – simply by contributing a dime at a time.

Today, the work of the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation continues in the even larger fight against birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality using the same concept of affordable participation by a wide segment of the public. Union Standard and our employees are pleased to support this highly effective organization through corporate and individual gifts.
